As a small business owner running a bar and catering company in Zwolle, I found myself unexpectedly connected to the local hospital when my young nephew spent time there. Wanting to give something back, I started by sponsoring a weekly clown visit to bring laughter to the children’s ward.

After a year, I asked the hospital staff what they truly needed. Their answer was simple but powerful: a new library with fresh books for the kids. That moment sparked a mission. I created a plan, rallied my network, and launched a fundraising campaign.

Thanks to the generosity of my network and the community, I raised 100% of the money and created a new and vibrant welcoming children's library full off all these new books. A place where imagination and healing could go hand in hand.
